Ethan the teething fox shortlisted for Best Baby and Toddler Gear Awards
A fun new natural rubber teething toy designed to stimulate baby’s senses and soothe sore gums has been shortlisted for the Best Baby and Toddler Gear Awards 2018.
Ethan the Fox was designed by Hertfordshire-based husband and wife team, Sarah and Steve Cummins when their daughter Fern was teething. The friendly fox is the first product from their brand Mooncow and is designed to help baby’s sense of sight, touch, sense and smell while also having lots of tasty bits to chew on to ease the pain of sore gums.
Steve Cummings said, “Ethan is no ordinary fox. He’s a super teething fox! He’s designed to be easy to grasp by small hands and has lots of clever features such as a long, jaunty tail for hard-to-reach sore spots, pointy ears and a naughty nose which baby can chew on to soothe mouths as teeth grow. One of our daughter Fern’s first words was ‘fox’ and while on a family trip to Australia, she found a stuffed toy that belonged to Sarah’s nephew who she loved. He was the inspiration for the fox shape and we named him after the teddy’s original owner, Ethan.

Ethan the fox is made from 100% natural rubber from the Hevea tree, making him completely safe for baby. His friendly face and clever shape make him a wonderful companion for little ones, while his slender neck and long, sprightly legs are easy for infant hands to hold.
In addition to the long tail, nose and ears to chew on, Ethan is a vibrant orange colour, warm, comforting and soothing when pesky baby teeth leave your little one feeling fractious and unhappy. He squeaks when squeezed to stimulate baby’s hearing, has a lovely natural smell to please tiny noses and tastes yummy too when gums feel painful and inflamed.
Ethan the teething fox is free from PVC, BPA, Nitrosamines and Phthalates while his colourful form comes courtesy of non-toxic dyes and not chemical nasties. He is compliant with UK and European Standards. Mooncow are members of the Baby Products Association (BPA).
