Award-Winning Mother and Baby Brand Launches Maternity and Nursing Tops Range

The award-winning brand behind a popular collection of muslins for mum and baby has expanded into maternity and nursing wear. The Mama Rules collection is designed to give mums and mums-to-be clothes that are comfortable, fashionable, on-trend and perfectly suited to busy lifestyles.

Created with practicality, comfort and the latest fashion in mind, the new range promises to be easy to wear and flattering for all body shapes. The tops support the Mama Rules ‘It’s All About You’ initiative, helping new mums maintain a sense of their own identity, even when caring for a newborn.

Effie, with her long floaty style and choice of sophisticated black or summery blush colours, is designed for both daytime and evening wear. The design pulls double duty, being perfect for nursing and then simply reverting to a regular, stylish top when not.

With cuff and zip details, Mia is a chic option for daywear and is available in black with faux blush leather and rose gold detail, white with leopard print and gunmetal detail or white with snake print and gunmetal detail.

All tops in the collection are made in Britain and designed for mums, by a mum.

Both the Effie and Mia have been created to work well with maternity jeans and leggings. Mia can be worn during pregnancy to offer flexibility for a growing bump, and both tops can be worn post-pregnancy for comfort and ease, for nursing and as a stylish, comfortable and modern top thereafter.

While the garments may have been designed to meet the needs of nursing mums and pregnant mums-to-be, there is nothing ‘maternity’ about the overall style. “I have two daughters myself, and with each of my pregnancies I could not find maternity or nursing clothes that felt like my usual style,” says Laura Adeshiyan, Founder of Mama Rules. “Whether it was the fit, the style, the shape or the pattern, I spent my pregnancies feeling like this wasn’t something I’d usually wear. I know it’s the same for a lot of other women out there too. My style and my choice of clothing plays a massive role in my sense of self, in my confidence, and in how I present myself.
