Ethical Clothing Brand Makes it Easy to Go Greener in 2021

On a mission to reduce the effects of water scarcity and climate emissions, ethical clothing brand The Living Tee is launching its new 100% sustainable fashion line in its entirety…  just in time to help eco-minded Brits commit to being greener than ever in 2021. This marks the first time that the London-based sustainable clothing brand’s full range of season-less, gender-neutral essentials will be on offer, with all products available to order now through the website.

As part of the ‘slow and responsible fashion movement’, The Living Tee is on a mission to transform the fashion industry from what is currently exploitative to humans, animals, and to the environment, to one which is using fashion as a powerful force to do good and a driver of change. In an effort to achieve this goal, the brand is launching a full range of tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, shirts, and sweatpants, all made from 100% recycled fabrics. Going beyond organic cotton, the brand’s fabrics are made from a combination of recycled cotton (either leftover materials from the manufacturing process or cotton once worn) and recycled PET bottles.

Visitors to The Living Tee website will find an extensive collection of 100% sustainable clothing now on offer, with a diverse selection of meaningful and inspiring prints that have been designed and developed in collaboration with some of the world’s most expressive artists, including NYC illustrator, Rukmini Poddar. Each print in the range supports a different cause, with proceeds from sales being used to support excellent international charity organisations such as Mind UK, WWF, and Charity:Water.

The Living Tee’s environmentally-friendly production are powered by 90% renewable energy, resulting in 50% fewer CO2 emissions. Shoppers can have confidence that, when they purchase from The Living Tee, they’re helping to save 2700 litres of water per tee, 6200 litres per sweatshirt, and a whopping 8700 litres per hoodie, with a total of 99% less water consumption. With 1 in 10 people around the world facing water scarcity, The Living Tee is committed to bucking the fashion industry’s major consumption trend in order to help reduce scarcity and emissions in a practical, sustainable manner

Khushi Khatri, Founder and CEO of The Living Tee said, “As consumers become increasingly conscious of their actions and impact, the spotlight is turning to fashion. While it’s a challenging time for us all, 2021 is a brand new year, which makes it a great time to begin thinking about the kind of impact that fashion has on people, planet and animals, and what we as consumers can do to reduce our footprint.”

According to Garnier’s recent ‘One Green Step’ report, 73% of UK residents hope to be more sustainable in 2021, with many agreeing that they are more likely to make a ‘green’ New Year’s resolution for 2021 than they were in the past. The global health crisis is believed to be a major driver of this, with the report showing that COVID-19 has resulted in a 44% increase in environmental interest.
