New Canadian Choice Awards Recognize Superiority in Canadian Business

A new awards program has been launched to recognize and reward Canadian businesses going above and beyond to satisfy their customers. The Canadian Choice Award is one of the first country-wide projects to acknowledge businesses based on customer perception, and is providing local organizations with unique opportunities to showcase their services.

The Canadian Choice Award honors both small and medium sized businesses across Ontario for 2020 – and nationwide in 2021- particularly those who are able to demonstrate a strong and ongoing commitment to their customers. Businesses can be nominated by the public for a number of reasons, including the provision of exceptional and high quality products, for innovative services, or for a level of customer care that raises the bar and extends far beyond what is deemed to be average.

“We know just how important our small businesses are to the future of the Canadian economy, which is why we want to support this community and ensure that great organizations are getting the recognition they deserve,” says Sara Mills, marketing specialist from the Canadian Choice Award. “We understand how challenging it can be to focus on marketing and core business simultaneously, and this is what has motivated us to create the Canadian Choice Award, helping to spread the word across the nation.”

All Canadian Choice Award nominees are nominated by customers themselves, with winners selected based on reviews and feedback from the local community. The Canadian Choice Award panel listens to what real customers have to say about their experiences with an organization. They reward businesses who have really made an impact on their audiences, and who have made a true difference to the business landscape.

Both winners and nominees are presented with personalized digital badges that can be displayed through online channels such as social media accounts and business websites, highlighting their recognition. Winners also benefit from enhanced media opportunities which present new ways for Canadian businesses to attract and engage with target demographics.

While the change-focused team behind the Canadian Choice Award is based in Toronto, Ontario, the program has been introduced as a Canada-wide scheme, extending beyond the country’s major cities to ensure that underrepresented businesses in smaller towns are acknowledged and recognized for the work they do. “While the commercial scales may differ, the importance of customer-driven recognition remains the same in all communities,” adds Mills.
