Conscious Crafties celebrates new ownership with rebrand

Conscious Crafties, the online craft marketplace and support community for those living with chronic illness, disability and those caring for loved ones, is celebrating new ownership with a complete design overhaul and special offer for craft-minded individuals who wish to open their own online shop.

A popular portal for those seeking unique, one-off gifts created by people with chronic conditions such as OCD, Fibromyalgia and anxiety and depression, the website offers an array of hand made items including personalised mugs, clothing, bespoke jewellery and unique homewares which cannot be found on the high street.

The marketplace also offers friendship and support to crafters struggling with the daily challenges that living with a chronic condition brings, with many members building relationships with fellow shop holders who are on hand to offer help, advice and a sympathetic ear.

Originally set up in 2011 as a way for crafters to promote and sell their beautiful wares to the public, the business has since been taken on by new owners Mike Mclellan & Hannah Bailey-Neale, who are hoping to attract more shop holders to grow the business.

By offering new crafters the opportunity to open their own online shop through the Conscious Crafter website for just £1 for their first month using code CRAFTIELOVE, Mike and Hannah hope to reach out to a highly talented and creative community seeking a new hobby or revenue stream. The online stores can be managed from home and around their medical conditions.

The Conscious Crafties website has also undergone a complete design overhaul, with visitors now able to find out more about the crafters who create a plethora of beautiful handmade gifts. There’s also more information and updates on how the items created and sold via the website support local communities and charities.

Owner Mike Mclellan said, “We’re so proud of Conscious Crafties and how far it has come over the years. We’re so excited to see what the next few years has in store for us and our online shop owners.”

Hannah Bailey-Neale  said, “Our crafties make beautiful gifts, each handmade with love and they also do so much for local communities and charities. The love and selflessness in our community truly showcases our core values. They are the beating heart of our business”
