Award-winning book on overcoming worry receives rave reviews from UK’s largest anxiety charity

Following the launch of her latest book, author Hayley Silk has won two prestigious awards for her ‘Be a Warrior, not a Worrier’ publication and has also received an impressive review of her work from the UK’s biggest anxiety charity, Anxiety UK.

With over six million of the UK population struggling with a form of anxiety, author Hayley Silk is reaching out to those affected with the message that they don’t need to let anxiety define who they are. Her comprehensive new book underlines the importance of self-help and finding the strength within to overcome it.

A qualified life coach with personal experience of anxiety, Hayley’s book has already won a 2018 Independent Book Award in the Excellence for Motivational in Self-Help category.

The NEW YORK CITY BIG BOOK AWARD has also recognized ‘Be a Warrior, not a Worrier’, naming it this year’s winner in the Motivational Self-Help category. The competition is judged by experts from different aspects of the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. Selected award winners and distinguished favourites are based on overall excellence.

Written with humour and insight drawn from her own personal battle with anxiety, ‘Be a Warrior, not a Worrier’ offers practical advice to overcoming specific anxiety-causing issues that we all face on a daily basis, such as money, health and how others perceive them. It has been well received by anxiety practioners and warriors alike.

Readers are able to delve straight into the chapters that cause them the most anxiety and take away from a series of powerful observations at the end of the section as a focal point. From reviews of the warriors that have already read the book, Hayley’s work has been likened to ‘having a good friend when you need one’ and described it as a book written that communicated their exact feelings.

Author and life coach Hayley said, “Following the loss of my husband’s business and redundancy, I suffered a debilitating anxiety disorder that ultimately led me to seek professional help.  From that help, I found the strength to follow a passion and write this book to help others that suffer through the crippling effects of anxiety and offer practical tips on how to overcome it.

“From my darkest time came my greatest achievement, and now I’m so happy that my work is helping to inspire others and empower them to help themselves and conquer the worrier within.
